Enter a FloatWhat to Expect
Santa, floats, and the whole town out on the square.
The Christmas Parade is a Hemphill tradition: local businesses, churches, schools, and families build floats and roll through town together. This year’s theme is A Very Merry Christmas Movie, so expect floats built around Christmas films. Santa and Mrs. Claus visit the Courthouse Square, and there’s a raffle for the kids.
This event is entirely volunteer-run by the Lions Club. Every entry, every raffle ticket, and every donation supports the same local causes the Haunted House and Talent Show fund: scholarships, glasses for kids, and holiday help for families.
Bike Drawing
Bikes donated by local sponsors are given away by age bracket, a parade-night tradition.
Program on the Square
Music and a Master of Ceremonies keep the evening going after the last float rolls through.
Vendor Market
A vendor market is usually part of the evening too. It is a full night on the square, not just a parade.

Not Entering a Float? Help Another Way
The parade runs on more than floats.
The bike drawing is a parade-night tradition, and it only happens because local businesses and families donate the bikes. We could also use hands on parade day, staging, lineup, and cleanup. Both are real, standing needs, not just an entry form.
Donate a Bike
Help keep the bike drawing going. Fill out the offer form and we’ll follow up with the details.
Day-Of Hands
Staging, lineup, and cleanup on parade day. Sign up and we’ll place you where it’s needed.
Can't donate or work the parade? Sharing our posts as the date gets closer helps too.
Float Entry Form
Enter your organization in the parade
Fill out the form and a Lions Club volunteer will follow up with float lineup details as the date gets closer. There can be no live Santa on your float.
